The wood sold to me Bischofia is more properly known as Bischofia javanica, but it most commonly known as Bishopwood.

B. javanica is native to a wide range encompassing south and southeast Asia as well as parts of China and Taiwan. B. javanica has been widely planted as an ornamental tree throughout the tropics and sub-tropics.
