This is my third time working with Quina and unlike last time, I am certain that this blank was Quina as everything about it from the color to the scent was spot on correct.

I really like working with Quina as it cuts reasonably clean although it does require a good bit of clean up sanding along the cross-grain but not as severe as some other tropical hardwoods.

Quina has a great red color and a fantastic sweet-spicy scent when cut. I would like to smell it when cut green because I would imagine the fragrance would be even more intense.
