If any reader is presented with a chance to work with a piece of fruit-bearing cherry wood, I think I would encourage them to give it a try, while bearing in mind my experience should things not work out as easily as they had hoped, knowing that it is quite likely more the fault of the wood than it is the fault of the wood turner!
